Hi food lovers~

May i proudly present to all of you~
Melt- The World Cafe~~~~

A classy, relaxing location accompanied with highly invigorating taste of food..
True to a promising time full of enjoyment and captivating food fare..

A reservation was made in advance and the duo indicated that it was their first time around the place. Very promptly, the person who attended to us brought us for an orientation around the whole restaurant. This included introducing the various cuisines of food, the upper and lower concourses of the area, the outdoor BBQ area as well as the dessert bar. We were very much in awe with regards to the quality of service provided. They had certainly exceeded going the extra mile for their customers as well as providing a prompt and sincere service to us. Smiles surrounded the faces of each and every server. It was simply delightful.

Alright. This is dinner fare.
The Interior of Melt. Lined with tables and tables of food, selection seems endless for an instant.

On your left here is the Thai food section.
It comprises of a variety of sweet and sour delicacies including fish, chicken, tom yam soup, rice, noodles and much more.

Coming up is the Western section.
Majority of the selection is focused on potatoes.
If you are a potato lover, this is for you.
Baked, Grilled, Smoked, etc..
The selection is great.
Nevertheless, you mustn't exclude the beef stew, lamb stew and the soup.
3 different types of soup available if my memory serves me well.

3rd section. Indian food.
They have a large selection of Indian curry and condiments.
Really huge selection here. We were actually quite surprised by the briyani rice. It was loose and fragrant. Perfect with some Indian curry.
The naan was soft, fluffy and hot.
Simply great!

Now this is a sight you'll seldom see.
An outdoor Ala carte BBQ station.
When we approached, the waitress asked us for our choice of food. We chose beef steak, sausages, salmon steak, white fish, satay and crayfish.
And we simply gave her a pointer to where we were sitting.
Amazingly, she remembered our faces and seats well.On our second and third pop by to the station, only our orders were taken. Now this is what i call service excellence.

Seafood galore~
For all you who simply loves seafood,
would you look at that.
Does that HUGE lobster entice your taste buds?
Or the fresh translucent prawns??
Or bamboo clams??
Or fresh oysters??

Okay, some pictures of our food.
BBQ prawns, sausages, salmon and white fish.

The various cuisines.

Italian, Western, Indian, etc.

Now to the highlight of the day.
Desserts!!
The dessert bar.
Inclusive of a chocolate fondue, waffle station, marshmallows, cakes, fruits, little kuehs and local desserts.

The cake display.
Those magnificent master pieces don't look like they are for consumption. They look like they are for display purposes!
Housed in glass display cases which can be drawn out by sliding.
Oh my gosh.

Some of the varieties we took.
Tarts, cakes, etc.

Look at this waffle.

It looks like an ordinary waffle.
Real ordinary.
But guess what?!!
IT'S THE BEST WAFFLE WE'VE TASTED!!
And it's soft, crispy, fluffy and piping HOT!
Straight from the chef's making.
Heavenly! Awesome! Insane!

Look at the ice cream on top of the godly waffle here. It's vanilla.
Look closely at it and you will see small specks of vanilla seeds.
Nice creamy texture and a lovely aftertaste.
You may also choose a variety of syrups to compliment your lovely waffle.
Homemade stuff is just great!

Alright. This is the amazingly stocked fruit counter.
It looks absolutely like the fruits market.
It has virtually every fruit you can think off.

Right in front of it is the local desserts mix.
You can mix your own ice kachangs and such.

Comments:
It's a great place to dine at.
The best buffet we have come across so far.
Deserves every praise and recommendation.
Do try it at least once!

Hello readers,

Welcome to the blog. This is the very first post of the blog and marks the beginning of a long way to reviewing food. Please feel free to give comments and ideas to improve it.
Thank you for viewing and have a nice day. =)

Firstly, let me introduce to all of you. Coca.
A steamboat restaurant featuring mainly chinese crusine.
We visited this place on saturday and had their lunch.

This is their menu.

Not a wide range of food available though.
We were not quite satisfied with the food quality.

The beef was cut in thick slices.
Oh gosh.

It was difficult to cook and it tasted horrendous.
The seafood varieties like prawns and fish were average.
There was nothing spectacular about the food.

In total we spent about $25 per pax

Dinner is slightly expensive but with more varieties.

This is the steamboat concept that they have.
It uses a heating pad to boil the soup and has a glass lid to cover the pot.
It also boils quickly.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated and was asked to select a soup base.
The waitress mentioned that there was the chicken broth soup and the ma la ( spicy) soup.

However, we were only allowed to select 1.
We chose the chicken broth.

The soup was quite bland and so we added quite a number of ingredients to spice it up.

One thing worth recommending is this special concoction of chilli.

It tasted just right with the sweet and sour combination, making it perfect for any item to dip in.

Comments:
It is a buffet justifiable by its price. Don't expect too much from it. Simple and average.
So if you're looking for something exceptional, we think you deserve better.
